This is one of the last portraits I did to practise on Painter

This time it's Urbain Cancelier, better known (to me) as Collignon, my favourite character from the movie Amelie.

I, of course, used the movie as reference for this painting

I saw this and kinda went, "That guy looks familiar." Then I read the name and went "Collig- COLLIGNON!"

Amelie love!

Colignon, tête de gnon!

She really messes him up.

Have you seen Delicatessen by any chance? an older film by the same director. There are some really quirky scenes.

A friend reccommended it to me, but I havent actually seen it. Is it good?

It's much older than Amelie, when director Jeunet (with his creative partner Caro) were still refining their style.
I'd say Delicatessen was a chance for him to exercice his style, and the end result was Amelie.

The plot is a bit minimal, but if you take every individual scene by itself, they are really well done.

Here's a small example [link]

There's also their La cité des enfants perdus - the city of lost children. Not as good, but... interesting.
